Western Native Trout Challenge Newsletters
Tenkara Rod Co. video series
Follow Boise-based Tenkara Rod Co. to watch 18 video episodes as they pursue 18 native trout and char species in their native ranges across 12 states to complete the Western Native Trout Challenge. We asked Drew to tell us about their company and why they decided to make 18 videos about their Western Native Trout Challenge quest: “We are Tuna and Drew. Just two guys who love to fish. We started Tenkara Rod Co. in 2013 because it seemed like a fun and different way to fly fish. Tenkara is a form of fixed length line fly fishing. There is no reel. Since starting the company we have been all over the world fishing and have been making videos to share our experiences and good times. Doing the Western Native Trout Challenge is a fun way to raise awareness for this awesome organization and help people realize that we need to protect these native trout species.” More videos in this series:
